Every place holds a memory.

Kaldiya is a contemplative Assamese science drama that follows a physics student whose growing fascination with detecting earthquakes slowly leads him towards an ancient mystery hidden in the lower Brahmaputra valley of Assam. Seen through the evolving relationship between an inquisitive student and the teacher who worries deeply for his future, the film explores curiosity, memory, science and the quiet wonder that often lies hidden within ordinary lives. Although rooted in the landscapes, folklore and history of Assam, Kaldiya is ultimately a human story... one where forgotten places, scientific inquiry and lived experience gradually converge without offering easy answers. The film is the opening chapter of the Kachpur Verse, a planned trilogy exploring memory, history, identity and humanity's enduring desire to understand the unknown.
